We are having freezing rain and sleet in the area today. I had a doctor's appointment and since my car is in the shop being fixed, I dropped my wife off at her school and headed to the doctor. When I was leaving the doctors and heading to my car, I began to look for my car, the problem was that my car was in Elliston and I was driving the Honda not the VT Cruiser, so I was looking for the wrong car in the parking lot. After walking around the parking lot twice, I saw her car and remembered and felt very silly.
Once I found the right car, I decided to stop at Starbucks for a cup of coffee on the way to the bank. As I was leaving with my coffee in hand, I found some of that invisible ice on the sidewalk and almost dropped my coffee, but saved it and myself. Once back in the correct car, I started backing out of my spot when I was getting ready to pull forward, I saw a Toyota's reverse lights turn on and begin backing toward me. I was not the only one that could not see that Honda. I hit the horn, put it in GO and got out of the way just before being hit. There are a lot of people that are looking around but are not seeing the most important things in life. People are so busy and preoccupied that we don't know what we are missing in life.
Many of us are looking in the wrong places for the wrong ways to contentment. We are not going to find what we are looking for until we begin looking for the only One that can forgive us from our sin and give us peace and contentment. Jesus is the only way to find that peace. People must start recognizing that and submitting to the will of God for their lives. Do not miss looking and finding Jesus today. "Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men came from the east to Jerusalem, saying, Where is He who is born king of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the east and have come to worship Him." Matthew 2:1-2
Seek Jesus, surrender to Him and worship Him today and always!
